| Sundance: Chris Pine And Alan Rickman Talk Bottle Shock
Due to technical difficulties, the press was asked to wait outside the conference room (which was actually a tent set up just outside the Yarrow hotel) while they got things fixed. Leanne and I got situated near the door and this afforded us the opportunity to see the various cast members of the film walk right by us. Id like to pretend as though I was unfazed by the sight of actors like Alan Rickman, Eliza Dushku, Freddie Rodriguez, Chris Pine or Bill Pullman as they walked by me but lets face it: I may wear a press badge on the outside, but on the inside I was squeeing like a dorky fangirl. Rachael Tayler, who is also in the film was present as well. You might remember her from her role as the hot blonde Aussie tech-geek in Transformers. We were eventually let into the tent, which was surprisingly warm and the conference got started fairly quickly.
Departure is opportunity for waterworks
City leaders say a change in management at Des Moines Water Works is a chance to explore money-saving ventures that could help keep metro-area rates down in the long run. The utility recently raised rates for Des Moines customers 3 percent, from $2.28 to $2.35 per 1,000 gallons, the second straight increase. Waterworks general manager L.D. McMullen retired in December after about 30 years with the utility. .
Jordan feels deflated
Pete even ended up coming home because he wanted to be with the kids. It was all worth it though, because they look great." She is also rumoured to have had a nose job, at an estimated cost of $40,000 in America. Harley Street surgeon Aristolos Gaitanis told the Daily Mail: "It's obvious she's had rhinoplasty surgery. It's down to the difference in the profile. "Her profile used to be prominent, stronger. Now it is softer and prettier - it's the most popular sort of nose surgery." Perhaps Jordan, who prefers to be known as Katie Price, was prompted to scale down her look following the birth of her daughter Princess Tiáamii last year. Share this article What is this? .
Keller Rohrback L.L.P. Announces ERISA Investigation of the Merrill ...
SEATTLE, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Keller Rohrback L.L.P. (http://www.erisafraud.com) announces that it has commenced an investigation against Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. ("Merrill Lynch" or the "Company") (NYSE: MER) for potential violations of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 ("ERISA"). The investigation focuses on investments in Merrill Lynch stock by the Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan (the "Plan"). Keller Rohrback's investigation involves concerns that Merrill Lynch and other administrators of the Plan may have breached their ERISA-mandated fiduciary duties of loyalty and prudence to participants and beneficiaries of the Plan. A breach may have occurred if the fiduciaries failed to manage the assets of the Plan prudently and loyally by investing the assets in Company stock when it was no longer a prudent investment for participants' retirement savings.
Grieving Father Tells Of Nightmare
Brian Aim, 51, said he, his wife Peggy, also 51, and son Alan, 23, have been living through a constant nightmare ever since officers broke the news at his Orkney home. "It's felt as though we're watching a bad film on the television and could we not change channels?" he said. "But we're stuck on this channel for the rest of our lives. "We just wish that we could change over, instead of this absolute nightmare that we're going through." He said the full reality of what has happened would not sink in until Karen's body is returned home to Orkney. "We don't believe it's happened yet," said Mr Aim, who works as a joiner in Holm, Orkney. "It's beginning to register now that the house is half-full of flowers and sympathy cards. We are beginning to realise something is happening." Mr Aim described how his daughter had "landed on her feet" on her second visit to New Zealand, where she had been working at a glass-blowing gallery in the resort town.

Public wants input on Carroll police unit
There is no appreciable difference between the cost to run a future unified sheriff's department and the cost to operate a county police department," Powell said. Sheriff Kenneth L. Tregoning said he has urged county commissioners for 21 years to create a law enforcement master plan, which has not been done. Suddenly there is a sense of urgency to get somewhere without any plan in place, he said. For several years, he has pushed for his department to assume primary responsibility for law enforcement in the county. "There is no sound reason that the county is going forward at this speedy and reckless pace to dismantle the sheriff's department," Tregoning said. "Here they want to change the entire face of law enforcement, and they have not had one public meeting. I find that disgraceful," he said.
Mich. couple killed in accident leave $1.6 million to surprised ...
And it didn't matter to them if you had one dollar or 10, they'd be your friend." Judging by the amount of money they doled out, the couple had many friends, including fellow parishioners at Alto United Methodist Church, where many of the beneficiaries are members. "We, the whole church, are obviously grateful to them, and grateful to God that he gave them to us," said the Rev. Dean Bailey. Added Bailey's wife, Jan: "They left a lot to the people they'd loved, and I think everybody was surprised." That included the Baileys, who were notified that the Hatches had left the church about $50,000 toward a fund trying to raise $800,000 for a new building. Their gift, said the pastor, represents "about a year's worth of our fundraising capability." .
